The Demand for Temporary Staff Is Growing

According to a study performed by the Magram MR agency, last year the market of permanent staff decreased by 13% and amounted to 12.8 billion rubles. At the same time, the market of temporary staff grew by 11% and came to 29.3 billion rubles.

Temporary staff is an anti-crisis measure. Companies want to get employees at a time when they are really needed, as well as seek to give the liability for staff to recruitment agencies.

In addition, temporary staff allows companies to save money: wage funds and tax payments are reducing, companies do not need to provide workers with social security. Often companies transfer their employees to the staff of recruitment agencies and then rent them as temporary staff. Companies pay only a fixed amount to recruitment agencies. All other costs are incurred by the agency.

In 2016 a new edition of the Labour Code will come into force. Companies and recruitment agencies will be required to enter into agreements not to provide temporary staff but to provide the execution of works. The agency will decide, how many employees will be needed for a particular work.

Experts believe that the market of temporary staff will not be reduced. Only the environment in which it exists will be changed.
